Banno Trousseau Bag

Banno is a 14×14 inch handcrafted gift bag that carries the weight of the occasion the way only red can. Made from patola-inspired brocade, deep red with jaali motifs in gold, orange, and teal, it is the colour of sindoor, of chunni, of every auspicious thing that has ever been placed in a bride's hands. The fabric has been used at celebrations in this part of the world for generations. Banno simply remembers that.

The bag opens to a red interior and closes with a red string loop, finished with a silk tassel and a gold bead at the centre, the kind of detail that feels like it belongs to a ritual, because it does.
